30th APRIL - 23rd JULY 2022
The mission begins in the Tyrrhenian Sea
12 weeks of navigation and a team of biologists and naturalists to discover the state of our seas. Born from the initiative of the Centro Velico Caprera in collaboration with the One Ocean Foundation, M.A.R.E. (Marine Adventure for Research & Education) is a very special citizen science project.
Not just navigation and life on board. All guest of the ONE catamaran (partners, ambassadors and influencers) actively collaborated with scientists in sampling and sighting activities. The significant amount of information collected will provide us for the first time with a comprehensive and detailed 'snapshot' of the health status of the Tyrrhenian Sea, its species, and its pollution at various depths.
